Using Non-Owner Slot Adjustment

1. At the Item field, enter the item which needs a slot adjustment.

If you are uncertain of the item code, see Navigating Net Yield - Selecting an Item.

2. Enter the customer ID code for the non-owned inventory customer whose slotA slot is a physical location within the warehouse location, such as a shelf, bin, or rack. needs to be adjusted.

3. A Select A Location window will appear; select the slotted location that the inventory is stored in. If there is only one slotted location there will not be an option to select a location.

4. A Lots window will appear and list the lots for the item and location selected. The following columns will display within the lots window:

• Lot – The lot number the inventory is stored in
• Open – The date the lot was created
• Balance – The total on-hand balance for a particular lot
• Committed – The amount committed against a particular lot
• Unit – The preferred stocking unit of measurement.
• Slotted – The amount of the item slotted in a particular lot.

Scroll to the lot which has the slots that need to be changed. You can change the quantity in the slot or move the quantity from one slot to another. Press Enter. An asterisk will appear indicating the lot has been selected. Press F10 to enter the slot selection window.

5. A Slots window opens and displays all slots and associated information within the selected lot. Here, you will only have access to information that resides within the QTY SLOTTED column/fields. The following fields will display:

• Slot – The slot ID
• Slot Desc – The description for the slot
• Capacity – The slot capacity in cubic feet, which is defined and maintained in the Locations table within the Slots command option and defined in the pounds per cubic feet setting for the item
• Available – The available cubic feet capacity for the particular slot
• Committed – The amount committed against a particular slot
• Volume – The cubic feet that the product occupies. The minimum volume is defined in the Item - Pounds per Cu Ft for Slotting setting
• QTY Slotted – The amount of product inducted as inventory into a particular slot
• UN – The item stocking unit of measure.

Enter the changes to each slot in the quantity slotted and press F10 to exit. The total lot quantity must be slotted or you will get a system warning.

6. Command options will appear:

• Select Update to save the non-owner slot adjustment.
• Select Modify to return to the Slot selection and modify or change the quantity slotted for any slots.
• Select Exit to Exit without saving any of the changes made.

Important: Your changes will not be saved unless you select Update.
